Former partner at Veirano Advogados and Araújo e Policastro Advogados, Isabela joins BVA to bolster the firm’s practice in strategic corporate transactions and international deals.
BVA – Barreto Veiga Advogados has announced the addition of Isabela Xavier as a new partner in its M&A and Corporate practices. Her arrival further strengthens the firm’s transactional expertise, particularly in high-level M&A, private equity, cross-border deals, and corporate matters for publicly held companies, with a strong focus on international work.
Isabela brings over 25 years of experience advising Brazilian and international companies across various industries on complex mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and joint ventures. She has led numerous strategic transactions on both the buy and sell sides, representing domestic and global clients.
Isabela holds a law degree from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and an LL.M. from the University of Chicago. She previously served as in-house counsel at Nasdaq-listed Strategy, Inc. (Ticker: MSTR), where she was responsible for overseeing the company’s legal operations in Brazil, Portugal, and South Africa. She practiced corporate law at Squire Patton Boggs LLP in New York, advising clients on sophisticated cross-border transactions. Isabela is licensed to practice in Brazil (OAB-SP) and New York (New York State Bar Association).
Joining BVA with a team of three professionals, Isabela’s arrival expands the firm’s M&A and Corporate practice to four partners and over 20 professionals.
