Woba

Woba, a Brazilian startup that developed an innovative flexible office model based on SaaS technology, raised US$13.5 million in its Series B funding round, led by the investment fund Bewater. BVA acted as legal counsel to Woba in the transaction, coordinating the cross-border aspects under Brazilian law.

As this was an international round, U.S. law firms Foley & Lardner LLP and Wilson Sonsini also acted on the transaction. On the investors’ side, in addition to Bewater leading the round, the investment included participation from Citrino Ventures (the family office of the Ermírio de Moraes family), Endeavor through its Catalyst and Scale-Up funds, as well as Valor Capital Group, which had already invested in the company during its Series A round in 2021, when it was still operating under the name BeerOrCoffee. BVA also advised the company in the Series A round.

The BVA team was led by partners Felipe Barreto Veiga, Rafael Teixeira and Gabriel Abdalla, with the participation of coordinator Henrique Mareze and associates Renata Anspach, Lethycia Florencio and Enzo Gebrin.
