Gustavo Fiuza Quedevez is a partner at BVA and leads the firm’s Commercial Contracts, Real Estate, Secondment & Legal Operations, and Data Protection practices. He has 20 years of experience advising clients across the technology, energy, infrastructure, chemical, aviation, retail, advertising, pharmaceutical, automotive, electronics, real estate development, and healthcare sectors, both in Brazil and internationally.

He holds an LL.B., a postgraduate degree in Tax Law, and an MBA in Business Management. He further enhanced his academic background by completing a Compliance program at Insper in 2016 and the Legal Technology & Legal Operations program at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany.

Gustavo is recognized for combining deep technical expertise with a strategic approach to contract lifecycle management, leveraging the latest Contract Management and Legal Operations methodologies to reduce legal risk and create business value for his clients. In the Real Estate practice, he advises on both traditional real estate transactions and complex infrastructure projects and M&A transactions with significant real estate components.

In the Secondment practice, Gustavo is recognized for his ability to understand each client’s operational environment and to structure and manage customized legal teams that work seamlessly alongside in-house legal departments, with a strong focus on compliance and operational performance. He currently co-leads the practice with partner Lucas Abiz Luna.

His practice also encompasses corporate governance, with a particular focus on data privacy and protection under Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD). He advises clients on the design and implementation of compliance programs, risk mapping and assessment, and internal investigations.

  • Training and coordination of a multidisciplinary team formed by 24 lawyers, to provide specific assistance to a multinational cosmetics company;
  • Review and update of contract drafts, managing working group integrated with business areas;
  • Development of a project for the elaboration and implementation of contractual drafts related to the treatment and disposal of waste, privileging the development of strategic partners and adapting the contractual models to the reality of the partners involved in the execution of the treatment routines themselves;
  • Project development involving the construction of new distribution centers, with the preparation of minutes linked to the real estate operation and also a robotic separation line to be installed.
