George Bonfim is highly experienced in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and Venture Capital. His career trajectory has seen significant growth and he primarily advises technology companies, startups, retail businesses, and e-commerce firms.

George is actively involved in overseeing corporate transactions at all stages, offering guidance to entrepreneurs, as well as private equity and venture capital funds. His expertise ranges from initial investment receptions to restructuring projects aimed at M&A preparation and facilitating exit strategies or IPO processes.

Moreover, he excels in developing corporate governance frameworks and implementing data protection measures, while also addressing diverse legal matters within the corporate sphere.

  • Bachelor’s in Law (LL.B.) – Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie.
  • Aptitude in managing and structuring an internal Legal Department for clients, especially in implementing corporate governance structures for IPO operations and adaptation projects in data protection, per the provisions of the General Law for the Protection of Personal Data (LGPD) and regulations correlated.
  • Skill in negotiating the interests of entrepreneurs and investors, proposing healthy and attractive projects for the investment process carried out in companies in Brazil and Latin America.
  • Conducting corporate transactions in all stages, with extensive experience advising entrepreneurs and private equity and venture capital investment funds, from receiving the initial rounds of investments to corporate reorganization projects to exit M&A planning and/or processes capital opening.
  • Expertise in strategic intellectual property processes involving technology transfer, assignment and licensing of trademarks and other related matters.
  • Experience in developing corporate governance projects according to practices recommended by the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance – IBGC.
  • Elaboration of opinions for trademark registration purposes and administrative litigation with the INPI.
  • Management and leadership of a team of lawyers allocated directly to clients (secondments), with relevant capacity in motivational management and cooperation between internal teams and the legal department.
